iPhone 14 Plus won't start up after nightly charge. Screen is non-responsive.

Went through normal use and charged it and my iPad when I went to bed last night. My iPhone would not start up this morning although it did have the correct time and date. I could not input the passcode and I could not power off. I tried to restore the iPhone on my iMac but that failed as well.I went online on my iMac and found the pushing volume buttons which I did. I did it several times. In all the iterations of iPhones that I have had over the years this has never happened before. This iPhone does get warm while it is charging which is an issue that I have never had before. Thanks in advance.Today is Sunday and tomorrow is Labor Day. YIKES.

Hello ~ Try this way from a previous post by *Axel Foley*….

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2) If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.
