Home Screen Camera & Orange Dot

I too, am aware regarding the general icon symbols & colors and what they generally mean.

Recently, just noticing the tiny orange dot in the Camera icon. I just am unsure whether this is a default of how the camera is supposed to look or not. When I open the camera itself, I’d see the green dot at first. When closing the camera app, the green light slowly fades, and followed by the orange dot. I’ve had privacy issues on and off, and my gut is saying this Camera app is up to no good. But still unsure.
