Recently, after the iOS 16.6, I’ve noticed that my Memoji does not work and is constantly telling me that I need to “tap to resume” or just straight up that “Face Tracking failed”. What is going on? I have a screen protector but I’ve made sure to clean anywhere near the camera and I’ve reset my phone multiple times. Help me please!

Are you still able to use Face ID as normal for actions such as unlocking the device, authenticating purchases, etc? We ask as both features utilize the TrueDepth camera, so this can help to see if there may be an issue there.

1. Check for updates
2. Check your Face ID settings
3. Check that nothing is covering the TrueDepth camera
4. Make sure that your face isn't blocked
5. Make sure that you're facing the TrueDepth camera
6. Restart your device
7. Add an alternate appearance
8. Reset Face ID
9. Get service
