I've made several attempts to enable plugins for apple mail, with no success. I tried searching for a solution on BusyMac, which (unfortunately) didn't yield positive results. Any solutions/suggestions would be most appreciated, I'm willing to try anything that doesn't risk my mac.

If you have issues refer to the source of the Plug-in ie developers website for instruction if you have install issues, compatibility, updates, FAQ, etc...
Otherwise for plugin see your Mail>Settings>General
