My Apple Watch 8 is not recording wrist temperatures

No wrist temperature recordings after using my watch for four weeks already.

I have checked settings and verified sleep focus is on and wearing it to bed every night.

my sleep is over the minimum of four hours.

main reason I switched to Apple watch 8 is to use this feature, but it doesn’t seem to work.

what else can I do to use this feature?

Hey bahrija95,

It looks like you're coming from the article: Track your nightly wrist temperature changes with Apple Watch - Apple Support

That would have the best information for you regarding steps to take to help resolve that:

"Things you should know

  • The temperature sensing feature is not a medical device and is not intended for use in medical diagnosis, treatment, or for any other medical purpose.
  • The temperature sensing feature is not a thermometer and cannot provide wrist temperature measurements on-demand.
  • The temperature sensing feature is designed for users who are at least 14 years old.
  • Wrist temperature data can also be impacted by certain physiological, lifestyle, and environmental factors.
  • To get the best results, make sure your Apple Watch fits just right. If the fit is too loose, it can impact wrist temperature data."

The article above about ensuring your Apple Watch fits just right would be a good step to take as well.

If that doesn't help, we'd recommend ensuring both your Apple Watch and paired iPhone are up to date:

Update iPhone: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update Apple Watch: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If the issue is still unresolved, unpairing your Apple Watch and then pairing it again may help to resolve the problem: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Thanks!
