Settings > Privacy > Location services > System services (all the way at the bottom) > enable compass calibration.
Just to be sure, the red arrow is always above north, regardless of the direction you face, and should point to magnetic north (I'm not sure if the iPhone adjusts for magnetic declination. I know you used to be able to set true north versus magnetic north in settings).
I had the same problem with my Apple Watch 9, for weeks and weeks. The compass was 60 - 180 degrees off. Nothing I read in this great forum worked to get it right. Then I got the the new update on my watch today, i.e. 10.4. What do you guess? Problem solved ...
It's unlikely that the compass is broken. Are you saying that the picture you posted is you facing north? It appears you are facing west.
I put another phone beside my phone to find North. My phone was pointing North but it said that it was pointing west
Bravo
ive tried that before and now but still says that North is west
also it deosnt show the exact angle it just shows “_ _”
I'm sorry about this post. I reposted it in a more appropiate thread. And I spoke too soon. After 30 minutes or so, the deviation came back.
