Downloadlink for iMovie 10.3.3

Dear,

I have a Monterey 12.1.

I had an older version of iMovie that I can no longer use, but am unable to upgrade to the current version as this is not compatible with Monterey 12.1.

Is there a safe downloadlink to download older versions of iMovie, as I can't find it on the App Store, or is there another way to get an older version of iMovie?

Kind regards

Hi,

Try this procedure to download the highest iMovie version that your operating system will run.

To update/redownload iMovie 10, drag your iMovie 10 app from the Applications folder into the trash, but do not empty the trash. Sign in to the app store and open your purchases folder by clicking on your name at the bottom of the app store side bar. You will see your purchases displayed in your account, including iMovie 10. Redownload/update iMovie from there. If not successful, drag your present iMovie app out of the trash (if you moved it there) and return it to the Applications folder.

Yes somewhat similiar issue here, so I'm trying to get ANY version of iMovie to install on my 2015 (15") Macbook Pro, Monterey OS v12.7.2, as I currently do not have any version of iMovie installed. Is this even possible? It looks like the latest version to work on Monterey is 10.3.4 or 10.3.3. Is there anywhere on the internet to download this? Help is very much appreciated!

Thx!

Berganator,

For the download procedure in my previous post to work it is not necessary to have iMovie on your computer. It is only required that at one point in time you had iMovie on your computer, but perhaps lost or deleted it. So, in the above procedure you can skip the step of dragging the iMovie app to your trash.

iMovie would have been installed on your Mac when you bought it, unless you purchased it second hand.

Ok thx for the reply Rich! So I'm actually doing this for my son, he recently wiped and reinstalled Monterey OS, and he doesn't think he had iMovie on it originally, but is there a way to check and see if it was originally installed or is there a way to buy it and install it? (he bought this laptop used, quad core i7, 16gb ram, 500gb ssd)

Thanks again!
