Using my iPhone 14 Pro Max in Europe
What's the best way to use your iPhone 14 Pro Max in Europe? I want to make calls to numbers in Europe (to make inquiries, reservations, and the like) and to text my family in the US.

Check with your U.S. cellular carrier to learn what international roaming plans they offer.

That partly depends on how long you will be there. If it is a short trip (days to weeks) your carrier’s international roaming plan is the most convenient, and may be less expensive than getting a 2nd European number. If it will be an extended stay activate a local carrier and get a local number on a second SIM on your phone. There are shops everywhere in Europe (and the rest of the world) that will be happy to help you with setting this up, including in the airport when you arrive (although those may not be the most economical).
Thank-you. We will be there for 6 weeks. I was told to use Vodafone. Do I get an eSIM card to do that?
Do I need a different eSIM card for every country? Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia are our possible destinations. It all depends where the sun is shining.
One will do for all EU countries.

Thanks. I have. It's too expensive.
You’re welcome.
Enjoy your trip … and your iPhone.
