I’m not getting WhatsApp as an option When sharing a file or a photo

From my iPhone 13, I wanted to send pictures from my album to someone on whatsapp but when I select picture and share , the option to whatsapp is not available . What could be the reason.

sharing options are limited to copy and airdrop only. Other applications like whatsapp etc are not being shown
