On MBP, early 2015, Monterey 12.6.8, When first opening email received the body of email is blank, nothing displayed- seems as though its waiting to download contents. This is when I first open my mail app. Takes a few minutes before all email received can view contents

That is because that is EXACTLY how it works.
IMAP protocol stores all email messages on the Service Provider's Server. It forwards only the email headers quickly. The bodies are sent only after you request one, and when your email Server 'gets around to it'.
This is a feature, not a bug. You emails are available from multiple devices simultaneously without corruption of the master copy.
