iPad 9th generation draining batteries on standby

device: iPad 9th generation 10.2

software: 16.6

My ipad seems to have poor standby battery life. After charging to 100% and shutting down all apps I still only get 2 days of battery life before it’s fully depleted.

Went to the Genius Bar and the battery diagnostic came back perfect. Background app refresh is turned off.

I attached a screenshot of 1 fully day of standby. You can see it drained about 50% of its battery life with little to no screen on time.

Apple support on the phone claimed I should e turning the iPad off in between uses.

is this expect iPad battery life behavior?

HI T-dawg9,

The tech specs for the iPad 10th gen state to expect "up to" 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video, while this is "up to" 9 hours on a Wi-Fi + Cellular model. You can view that here: iPad 10.2 (9th gen.) - Technical Specifications - Apple

Hi T-dawg9,

Looking over this conversation, the only technical specifications available is the link shared. A battery can decline without use as this can be expected. If you have issues with battery not lasting as shown or see a decline after going through steps to maximize battery life, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support to further look into this.
