How can I tell if my AirPods will no longer charge?
My AirPods case light no longer comes on.

Let's see if we can help out with getting the light to display on your AirPods case again.
You should be able to see if the case and AirPods are charging. Depending on the device you have them paired to, you should be able to use the article you posted from with how to locate the charge status.
Now if you see they are not charging, go to If your AirPods won’t charge - Apple Support, there are a few steps here you will want to give a try.
If you are still not getting a light to appear, try resetting your AirPods. You can learn how to do this by following How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support as a guide.
After trying the above steps, if you still do not see any change, you will want to reach out to Apple Support by going to Get Support.
