icloud app for windows 11 not letting me sync icloud drive

I am having the same issue as this person here.

It was all working fine and about a month ago I noticed the the tick mark on the icloud drive was not there (icloud drive wasn't syncing anymore). I selected the drive and hit apply but the app unticks the drive everytime I hit apply. I have tried everything from reinstalling the app and restarting all the apple services, checked the firewall. I also turned off Advance data protection for icloud on my iphone. But its still behaving the same way. Anyone else having this issue? And recommended fix/suggestion appreciated. Thanks

Hi limbusnl,

It would be best if you contacted Apple to assist if you notice that iCloud Drive connects on other devices such as your iPhone, but not syncing on your PC.
