I'm trying to install MacAffe on my MacBook Air running Catalina. How do I determine what other antivirus programs are on my laptop

Don't! It's not needed and often causes problems with system operation. You need NO 3rd party AV apps.,

As ku4hx told, you Shouldn't install anti-virus utilities which makes you trouble.
