Aegis Fortress 3.0 with iPad A2757 (MQ6J3LL/A)

I am using an Aegis Fortress 3.0 drive with my new iPad 10th gen model A2757 (MQ6J3LL/A), and once unlocking the Fortress drive the drive unlocks shown by the solid green LED however does not show under "Locations" in the "Files" app on my iPad. I have the Fortress drive formatted with defaults selected and formatted in exFAT. I'm using a USB-C to USB-A adapter from NewEgg (https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16812400653). I'm considering trying a different USB-C to USB-A adapter, not sure what else to try. Any thoughts? Shawn

It's perhaps surprising that Aegis don't similarly make this statement within the linked device specifications.

Without access to a Aegis Fortress 3.0, I (and other contributors) will have difficulty confirming compatibility with iPad. As such, your options may be limited to testing with another iPad and/or Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter.

You should note that the USB drive may only be usable when connected to a USB Power Adapter rated at 12W (i.e., 2.4A @5V) or greater.
