Updating Apple password on Apple Watch.

I changed my Apple password and now need to change it on my watch. When I tap the password field on the watch my iPhone gives me the option of using the keyboard. I’ve tried this numerous times pasting the password in but it doesn’t put it in the password field on the watch. I end up having to type my complicated password on the tiny keyboard on the watch.

Please tell me there is an easier way. I called Apple Support and they said there is no way other than typing it on the watch .

Hi there kallie Petdancer,

You shouldn't need to sign in with your Apple ID on your Apple Watch. Have a look at the information below:

If you're already signed in to iCloud on the iPhone paired with your Apple Watch, you will automatically be signed in to that Apple ID.

Alternatively, you can sign in using the Watch app on your iPhone:

If asked, enter your Apple ID password. If you aren’t asked, you can sign in later from the Apple Watch app: Tap General > Apple ID, then sign in.

This link provides more information about that: Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Take care.
