Unpair two iPhones?

A pop up occurred and as I picked up my phone I also bumped the memo off my screen but before it fully disappeared, something about pairing my work phone with my personal. Now my personal appears to be being blind carbon copied on texts. And I’m not sure what all else is merged.

help! I’d like to keep my phones and content completely separate…

also…

series 3 watch se2020 iPhone also stopped pairing I assumed it was to do with Apple ID and reset password / unpaired/forgot/tried repairing…. Seems like they are just too old??

thanks for the time!

No, something changed with a setting you made. Go to Settings/Messages/Text Message Forwarding and turn it off. But you should never use a personal Apple ID on a work phone, because that means all personal content is actually owned by the company.

What you are encountering is normal and expected behavior.

You can either shut off parts of iCloud (or shut it off again, if something was unexpectedly re-enabled), or preferably can switch to a second Apple ID.

Mixing work and personal data and iCloud data often gets gnarly, and data sharing and notifications and the rest all happen when an Apple ID is shared.

Here is what you are meeting up with: macOS - Continuity - Apple
