I have signed up for a free trial on various apps of late. I am really distressed by Apple or the ITunes Store as I signed up for an AI free trial that said one week for 5.99 and if you don’t cancel in 7 days you will be charged a year’s subscription. I realized within the hour of downloading the app that it didn’t work and canceled the subscription the same day per the Apple Rules of 24 to 48 hours. What really frustrates me is the Goldman Sachs card immediately charged me for one year and not 5.99 that day. I canceled the subscription and then it goes to your purchase history though I thought a purchase and subscription differed so now I check both. I canceled and received a message that I was part of the premium trial member that were eligible for 50 percent offer . I did not want the app either way. It’s one thing to say this app is a free trial for 3 days but you pay 5 dollars. But they immediately charged 29.99. I called and spoke to three people who were pejorative and rude. I am deleting all apps off of my phone and will never pay or purchase an app through iTunes/The App Store. Formerly the cs was extremely helpful. I called them when my niece in 2018 purchased 300 in game’s getting my Touch ID. I’m contacting someone like the CFPA as Apple is not abiding by their terms. Nor do they grasp some of the bait and switch. I’m keeping Apple One and two apps I trust. While deleting them from my phone won’t affect my wallet- I don’t trust them and many of the vendors. One needs to screen shot everything but I don’t have time or energy if they won’t investigate.
