microphones not working on my ipad
they both work in the camera but neither work in any other app

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.
We understand that the microphones on iPad aren't working for you. If your iPad is updated with the latest software and has been restarted, make sure that the affected app has the mic enabled for use.
If the microphone doesn't work in a specific app
1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
2. Make sure that the app is enabled.
3. If the app has permission to access your microphone, or if it isn't listed, contact the app developer.
