iPhone and MacBook Email

I receive gmail on both my iPhone and MacBook. I would like the two mailboxes to "sync" with one another - that is, when I delete an email on one device, ideally the email would be deleted from both device mailboxes. I have been unable to locate the correct setting to make this happen. I'm hopeful someone can provide the steps so I no longer have to deal with an overabundance of email multiple times!

Hi ShellyCE,

As long as you're choosing Google as your service provider when signing into the accounts on your devices this behavior should happen automatically. You can learn how to set that up here: Choose the correct email service provider when you add an account to Mail - Apple Support

If this isn't properly working you can read more on how Google uses IMAP here: Check Gmail through other email platforms

Take care.
