Ventura 13.5.2? update crashed, my Mac mini and is not coming back up properly.

Need help from the Apple Community. Today's Ventura update crashed my Mac mini and it's not coming back up properly. Got to where I could shut down, held down Power button to reboot. Now it comes up but can't connect to my HDMI monitor. I resettled both ends of the HDMI cable but to no avail!

Yes, While in Photos, my Mac Mini Crashed. I called Apple and we restarted from Options. HDMI screen is now working. But, even though the Disk Utility testing was successful, we are attempting to restore the MAC OS. Wouldn't go after Agree selected. Only spinning color wheel. Apple Advisor suggest restoring from Time Machine backup.

We were able to restart and login after long delay. "Computer was restarted after a problem" Debugger message " panic".

Or just won't accept the HDMI connection? Does everything else work correctly or other things failing too? It shouldn't be necessary but try booting into safemode to clear out all the old caches and allow it to do its internal housekeeping. Then boot back into your default account and test again.

Are these instructions valid?

How to Use Apple Diagnostics on an Apple silicon Mac

  • Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button as your Mac starts up.
  • Release the power button when you see the startup options window (you'll see the internal disk icon and a gear icon labeled Options).
  • Press the Command-D key combination on your keyboard.

*There is no SMC (system management controller) in an M1 Mac. So you can not reset SMC on M1 Mac. But it doesn’t mean there is no way out.

All the functions the SMC are now embedded in the M1 processor. The M1 chip performs something like an SMC reset. Just shut down your M1 Mac and power it on after 30 seconds.
