Getting error message "MMS messages need to be enabled"

I’m unable to send pictures and some messages and get the error message that mms messages need to be enabled.

If you go to Settings>Messages, do you see a toggle for MMS? If so, make sure it's enabled. If you don't see one, you will need to contact your carrier.
