Siri doesn’t respond

Hi so since i’ve got my iphone xs max I couldn’t run siri.

when i try to say hey siri it tells me siri couldn’t hear you and i have checked the microphone and the speakers and they are fine

and i really need siri to be available on my iphone because it makes it so easy to use

please help me.
