backup batteries for imac computers

Whenever there's a power out, my laptop always seems to survive the disruption of power because it has a battery. However, my desktop falls "completely" off the grid and takes several minutes to revive itself. My question is... "Why don't desktop iMacs have built-in batteries in them (like laptops) to avoid these disruptions?"

Because it adds significantly to the cost. It will likely double the weight of the computer. Where would you put it? Would you want it as a separate box or contained in the iMac's case. I can only imagine how cumbersome that would be.

You can buy Universal Power Supplies that are essentially battery backups:https://www.amazon.com/APC-Protector-BR1500MS2-Back-UPS-Uninterruptible/dp/B08GRY1W93/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=battery+backups+for+computers&qid=1694243899&sr=8-18
