iMessage will not send photos to non Mac or APPLE devices.

I cannot send photos to anyone outside Apple devices from my Mac. While the error msg says not delivered, it is delivered to fellow iPhone & Macs. I changed the format to jpeg. Tried the method the Pungme posted. Didn't work. I am updated to Ventura 13.5.2. I see posts here from 2019 with the same issue. In fact there are way too many with the same issue & no fix. There must be some fix by now, 2023.

Hello cwatson50,

  1. To send SMS/MMS messages from a Mac, you'll need to set up SMS/MMS forwarding with your iPhone.

1. Make sure that you're signed in to iMessage with the same Apple ID on each device:
• iPhone or iPad: Check the Apple ID shown in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
• Mac: Open the Messages app, choose Messages > Settings (or Preferences), then click iMessage. Check the Apple ID shown.
2. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding.
If you don't see Text Message Forwarding, go to Settings > Messages. Turn off iMessage, then turn it back on. Tap Send & Receive, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage, then sign in with the same Apple ID used on your other devices.
3. Choose which devices can send and receive text messages from your iPhone (in this case, your Mac).

Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad

If you already have the SMS/MMS forwarding option enabled for your Mac on the iPhone, try turning it off, wait a few minutes then turn it back on to reactivate

Cheers!

Thank you so much for your answer. However, my settings are all in accordance with your steps. I along with many other people I know, who have iPhones, cannot send photos from Mac to non Apple devices. My iPhone works. It is my Mac. So frustrating bkz I am not on my phone all day, I have a large screen on my Mac and a real keyboard & I use it. But thank you again for your time & brain power. BTW there are alot of ppl on this site asking the same question sine 2019.
