No Sound from midi keyboard

I've just updated to Logic 9 with a new computer. I downloaded and installed a new driver for my MIDI interface and got the keyboard working with Sibelius. In Logic, when I play the MIDI-in data shows and I can record but the midi keyboard doesn't sound as I am playing. This is using an "audio instrument" not an external MIDI device. Thanks.

iMac 3.06 GHz, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

I tried several including the Bosendorfer grand. I also load the Numbers Game tutorial song to see if the problem was with my "new song" and I couldn't hear any of the audio instruments there either.

No. I'm wrong about the tutorial song. I didn't realize (duh) that pretty well everything in the arrangement was a loop or an audio track. The bass is an audio instrument and I can play notes on the keyboard that I can hear. Which means that there's something in the set-up of my "new" songs which is different and I don't know what it is.

Even worse (better?) I chose one of the Logic Instruments (EVP88) and it works fine. I don't understand why yet, but thanks offering to help me out.

Some Logic instruments are channel sensitive. The Organ plays on channels one two and three for the 2 manuals and the pedals. You set the MIDI channel in the inspector.
