Why do I have to continually factory reset my AppleTV for make Home Sharing work?

I have been having issues with my AppleTV A1635 32G not 'seeing' my MacBook 16" M1 2021' shared library. I load all my home movies into the TV app on the Mac. Both devices have most current IOS, both on the same WIFI network. Home Sharing is authenticated and shared. ApplTV is on same userid as the MAC. When I go to the computers app on ApplTV and select it I get either a spinning clock or a message saying the shared library can't be found. I have tried all of the recommended fixes (logout/login on both, reboot everything; Mac, AppleTV, router and the only thing that absolutely works is to factory reset AppleTV.


Ok GREAT so that works until you realize you have to re-authenticate most of the apps on AppleTV. This is not an easy fix. What is a better solution?
