I went to print an Avery 5168/3M 3100-W template type shipping label in my new, powerful Mac mini using Word v. 16.49 and Ventura 13.5. First, Word is too geeked out to use either template. Second, what I saw is not what I got; my indentations were ignored and bold was injected where none was directed. This is unlawfully shoddy software all too common in the M$ world. Beware and fight back this monopolistic overreach decadence.
Dr. Chip advises against automatic updates and I've not been notified of any available OS update.
All your rhetoric aside, your Autoupdate version dates from 2018 and your version of Word dates from 2021. Its is not surprising that these are no longer functioning properly. I think the problem is with your MS-Office installation. I suggest that you uninstall what you have and install the latest version of Office. If you are not comfortable doing that, you can manually download the latest versions from here:

I don't know who Dr. Chip is, but we have 8,000 Office365 users at my employer and all are mandated to be on automatic Office updates. Have not seen or heard of any issues with those. We have a Slack channel where users report issues and have not heard any there regarding automatic Office updates.
