Shortcuts - Set "Scenes and Accessories" results in a BLANK screen (iPhone and iPad)

Title says it all! Not blank for “an” accessory, the LIST of accessories it calls up is TOTALLY BLANK.

Bottom of screen not working properly on iPhone I’ve (very) recently started having problems with my iPhone SE 1st gen where the very bottom of the screen is no longer working properly. Any app which has a ribbon with buttons at the very bottom of the screen seems to be affected - so for example, the 'compose' button in Mail doesn't work, the 'share', 'back' buttons in Safari are unresponsive, and the tabs button now opens the 'copy' menu (!) Any app which has a ribbon of buttons at the bottom of the screen, such as WhatsApp, is now impossible to properly use. If I press 'go' on the onscreen keyboard, I get the effect of the 'delete' key (the key above 'go') instead. I also can no longer reliably swipe up to access Control Centre. These problems have only surfaced in the past week and appear to be the consequence of a recent iOS update. The effect is as if the iOS is designed exclusively for a larger screen phone (the iPhone SE is very small - I like the portability of it). I really wish Apple would advise users with older devices not to update the iOS if it will negatively affect their functionality. The phone (now running iOS 15.8) is otherwise OK, but these glitches are becoming pretty annoying. Here's what I’ve already tried: Cleaning the phone screen Doing a hard restart Resetting all settings Updating the operating system. Upper left corner screen not functioning I have the issue where anything that appears at the top left corner such as call green bubble or “return to app” I can’t seem to touch it to function. Is this an update issue or a screen issue?

Trying to open Settings on iPad causes blank screen, bounces back to Home, sometimes several times in a row. 26.1 Accessing Setting on iPad causes the screen to go black, and it bouncing back to the Home Screen. There is a LONG wait, and then *NOTHING* when trying to get to Settings on EVERY iPad I own with the most recent iPadOS (26.1). It does it several times in a row before Settings actually starts up. All were updated to the latest iPadOS, and so it happens on all of them. It's annoying, and disturbing that it slipped through testing before deployment. It does this on an iPad Pro 12.9 (several vintages), iPad mini (latest gen), and standard iPad (older vintage, latest iPadOS version). I haven't searched for this issue, but I can't be the only one. I've tried restarting them, and the issue continues. Thanks...

If you've checked the previous recommendations in the post. Specifically the section below from the article here: Add a smart home accessory to the Home app - Apple Support

"Before you begin

Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, and turn on Bluetooth under Settings.
To add a Matter accessory, you must set up a home hub first.
Check the accessory manual to see if the accessory needs additional hardware, software updates, or additional setup in the manufacturer's app.
Make sure that your accessory supports HomeKit, AirPlay, or Matter.
Make sure that your iPhone or iPad, previously added accessories, and home hubs are on the same Wi-Fi network."
