iOS 16.6.1 battery drain

I finally updated to iOS 17 and it helped significantly. It was definitely and issue with 16.6.1 despite what anyone tries to say.

Update to iOS 17, it should all resolve.

This is oso happening with my ip14pro and my friend ip14promax. The battery drain so fast unlike before. How to downgrade onto stable version like before? Usually the battery can last whole day, now only half day then need to find charger, its seems the old slogan “Iphone battery wont last” on ip6,7,8 is happening again. Before update my battery health is 99%, after few days its drop to 90%. Being using for a year only drop 1%. After updating the latest ios, few days it need to damage the battery.

There is no issue with the latest update. However, after any iOS update, the iPhone does go through a brief period of refreshing and rebuilding some data.

Just reboot your phone. It should correct right away. Mine kept saying it was down to 1%. I rebooted, and immediately it showed it was really at 84%.

I haven’t had this issue for a long time. It used to be fairly common, and a reboot usually fixed it. Currently have iPhone 14Pro, despite reboots over several days and checking of settings, my battery is still definitely draining much faster than before the update.

Our family has 4 phones that all updated earlier this week. All are experiencing severe drain.

“There is no issue with the update….(your phone is) refreshing and building some data” is definitely not the correct answer here.

My son's 14 pro max is experiencing the same issue. Before update 7 hours screen on time used about 50%. Now it uses 50% in about an hour.

But there's no issue with this update, right?

I’m a teacher and not even touching my phone for more than 30 minutes total between 8am and 2pm and it will be down to 20% by the time I get home. All apps closed. This needs to be fixed. It’s been long enough since the update.

Phone has been rebooted multiple times, it doesn't help, as several comments have already stated.

New iOS 17 update has helped a little but, battery life is still about 40% less than it was before the 16.6.1 update.

how long is this period supposed to last? I have had a never before experienced drain.

It’s unacceptable this way. What can be done? Can I downgrade to more stable version?!

I have the same issue after multiple days, multiple reboots.

My 11pro max is draining battery like crazy and now feels a bit warm. I wish I didn’t update it. Super annoyed.

There is definitely an issue with the latest update. It’s happening to too many people and I’m having the same issue with my iPad since the update.
