Apple Watch Series 8 Burns

I know many are calling it allergic reaction but make no mistake what happened to me is definitely not an allergic reaction. Less than a couple of weeks ago I got a Series 8 Apple Watch and yesterday I felt a shock then a slight burning sensation where my watch rest on my wrist no other place than that. I felt it a little less afterward but did not think much of it. No my band is not too tight nor too loose I have always made sure of this when I put the watch on. Later I felt the same thing again but a bit worst this time. When I removed the watch I noticed a first degree burn blister right in the position where the watch was and no where else. It was quite uncomfortable even still does not feel quite the same. The area is sensitive and I have a scar. Anyone who believed they have had a burn with the Apple Watch more than likely it was a burn. Many pictures I have seen posted are quite similar to mine and yes I know an allergic reaction, the feeling and look was definitely a burn and not an allergic reaction. Apple needs to seriously look into this and resolve this issue and not make any excuses and blame customers or pretend that they do not know the difference between an allergic reaction and burn. How is it an allergic reaction when it occurs only where the watch sensor is placed and no where else on my wrist. This is a burn no doubt about it!

You might be experiencing a reaction to the optical sensors on the watch that measure your heart rate. Also, Apple Watch Series 8 has built-in electrodes in the Digital Crown and the back of Apple Watch, which can measure the electrical signals across your heart when used with the Heart Rate app or the ECG app. See the 'How Apple Watch measures your heart rate' section in:

BTW, I do not work for Apple.

At Javaliga. Thanks for responding. Does the heart rate app and ECG app automatically gets activated. I asked because I have not use the watch except for my texts and a couple of times to answer a call, play music and last for activity but only when I go for my walk and it says looks like you are doing outdoor and I simply touch the outdoor to confirm. I have not had the time to look at what can be downloaded on the watch so with the exception of what I needed to do to set it up I have not added any apps/programs thank what it automatically comes with. And yes I do believe that whatever caused my the shock, tingling sensation and the burn had to do with the sensors because as I mentioned the two areas I have the burn is exactly where two of the sensors tested on my wrist and the distance between them is as the distance between the sensors. Whatever it is reacted and it caused a burn and still having a that lingering discomfort on that arm. Again thanks.

See the 'When Apple Watch measures your heart rate' section in:

Monitor your heart rate with Apple Watch - Apple Support

When you use the Workout app, Apple Watch measures your heart rate continuously during the workout and for 3 minutes after the workout ends to determine a workout recovery rate. Apple Watch measures your heart rate throughout the day when you’re still, and periodically when you’re walking (Apple Watch Series 1 or later). Since Apple Watch takes these background readings based on your activity, the time between these measurements will vary.
