delete vs backspace Magic keyboard (short)

Hardware: Apple Magic keyboard model A1644 via bluetooth to Windows 10 computer

Problem: The keyboard does not have a backspace key, and the delete key only deletes the character before the cursor. Multiple posts say that FXN+DEL or CTRL+D or other combinations will delete the character after the cursor, as on PC keyboards.

But this does NOT work for the A1644.

*** Question: Does anyone know the double secret "magic" combination of keystrokes that will yield this BASIC FUNCTION of a keyboard?
