Apple music has been shared to me and it says it has been shared but when I get on the apl it is still making me purchase a subscription.

I have been added to a family share, so I can gain access to apple music. It says the Apple Music has been shared to me, but when I get on the app, its still asking me to pay for a subscription.

Hey there hello260,

We'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. We see you have iOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iOS 16.6.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad If you already have iOS 16.6.1 installed, sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPad
  2. Any issues with other shared content in the Family Sharing group of which you're a member?
  3. Another thing to keep in mind is making sure to be signed into your own Apple ID in the devices you use, not someone else's Apple ID. If you're signed into your own Apple ID, then we recommend also taking the steps here as they'll help to rule out some other possible causes as to why you're not seeing the Apple Music family subscription set up by the Family Sharing group organizer: If you can't find your family's shared content

Cheers!
