I lost my iPhone,find my is not turned on. was using my Mac to communicate with people. up until today it was using my number, now just using my iCloud email? try to read my phone number and it says "phone number does not exist"

If the Phone number is not connected to the Cellular Network then you will neither receive any messages on your Mac through the number nor will you be able to send any.
