Apple Watch Ultra - Severe Skin Irritation Issue

I've tried several times to utilise the Apple Watch Ultra (purchased three weeks ago), but it continuously makes my skin itch and burn. I've tried a number of solutions, such as switching wrists , but the issue still exists. It was brought up with Apple support, but it looks like things have been back and forth for the past two weeks. Anybody have a problem like this? Any ideas?

Every mobile device that rests against the skin has the potential to cause irritation. Some people are just allergic to certain substances.

I'm afraid you'll get no solution from Apple as there is no 'fix' for this. The Apple Watch is only one of many devices that some people react to. If John Lewis won't take it back perhaps you can sell it, albeit at a loss.

There isn’t really anything that Apple is going to be able to do to “fix” this. Your watch is made with the same thing as mine and I don’t have any issues. In fact, I haven’t heard this from anyone that I know that has this watch so it’s probably an allergic reaction and that being said, the allergy is going to be isolated to whatever you’re allergic to and they can’t change the makeup of your watch from everyone else’s. Try taking it back and see what happens. If you need to take something to them to take it back, this would best come from your Dr. as the Dr. is going to be the only one that can tell if you’re allergic to it or not. At this point if they don’t take it back, then I would suggest selling it or gifting it to someone. Just make sure that you follow the information listed here What to do before you sell, give away, or buy an Apple Watch from somebody else - Apple Support.
