Apple Watch Proof of Repair Request and Repair Amount
My 1st Gen AW SE broke outside of warranty. Should have gotten Apple Care, but of well. Thankfully, my credit card has extended warranty protection and they're able to reimburse me since the AW failed after a year and 5 months. I've given them everything they need aside from the proof that Apple needed to repair it and the cost of the repair, which was $249. I declined since I could buy a 2nd gen SE for just a little more than the repair cost.
I called support and they said they could provide me nothing showing the repair needed and the $ amount. On my support page for the Repair Status under details, it doesn't go into explanation about any of them. This means there's nothing about the watch needing repair or the cost.
Is there really no way to get proof that the AW needs repair and the cost?
I'm at the point of not trusting phone support. When I was originally trying to send my AW in for repair, someone made a typo in the serial number so it showed there was an activation lock under a different owner. I was really confused about this since I had the AW connected to my Apple ID before troubleshooting the issue I had with it and unpairing and factory resetting. Battery wouldn't charge so I couldn't pair it to my phone again. I spent about 12 hours on the phone trying to get the activation unlock to go through since I had the receipt and the SN/IMEI on the receipt all matched up. It took almost 12 hours for someone to finally double check the SN to find a typo.
