Target Display function or similar

Looking for a work around for using a 27" iMac (late 2013)with Catalina 10.15.7 as a wired display for a new MacBook Air M2 with Ventura 13.5.2

I'll even take an option to share the iMac screen on the MacBook.

Can I use target display mode on iMac(Retina 5k, 27-inch, 2017) running macOS Monterey? Can I connect a 2024 Mac Air M3 to my iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, 2017 running Mac OsS Monterey) for use as an external display? Can I use a 2005 iMac as a target display for a late 2015 iMac? I have a 2005 iMac 21” and would like to know if I can turn it into a target display with my late 2015 iMac 27” Retina 5K. The old iMac is running the latest iOS it was capable of updating to: snow leopard. The late 2015 is running Monterey. I do notice that, in the system preferences for display, there is an add display drop down. It picks up my Roku out in the living room. If nothing better, could I plug an old Roku stick I have into a USB port on the old iMac to connect?

The M2 is too new to use Target Display. However there are a couple of apps that supposedly will let you do what you want. Look into

Luna Display | Turn your Mac or iPad into a second display (astropad.com)

and/or

Duet - Remote Desktop, Second Display, Drawing Tablet, and More (duetdisplay.com)

I've never used either on so can't comment on them further.
