Spotlight search on iPhone shows spam Messenger messages despite deleting them.

Within messenger i have tried disabling message requests but facebook allow junk messages for whatever reason. Over time rude and nude messages get sent in messenger. When typing something to search by dragging down these messages often appear and are very explicit. Dispite deleting them in messenger, search still saves them for whatever reason. Only way to get rid is by deleting messenger app, restart then nothing in search. After awhile the messages start coming back in messenger and search indexes them ready to show your nearest and dearest of the potential perv that you are not.

I have tried in siri and search to mark the box wherein in doesnt show any info from the app but that is to no avail. Iv tried deleting from within search but there is no option to delete or anything just takes you to messenger, where it states the message is gone.

How ?

Also how can i stop the absolute annoying feature that is swipe to turn. Often on safari when your moving the video time bar you loose your spot on page because that stupid annoying swipe to turn feature takes you to a previous or further on page, how to disable ?. Many thanks.

It seems you havnt read the post in its entirety. Facebook works as intended. Messenger works as intended. Its the search function (within the phone itself not in the fb app or messenger app) which keeps the indexes stored. There is no way to delete it from search. Not only that, within search settings on the phone it states to show the app on the home screen without having the contents showing on search. This setting also does not work because when the setting is on, the results still appear anyway. I cannot ask fb or messenger to fix and apple problem. Would be good to disable the swipe to turn function aswell.

Thanks.
