Storage management pop up legitimate or a virus?

Hi - I am getting a pop up that I cannot find an docs about or any information about whether it's legit or not. This is the pop up. COuld anyone tell me if this is normal and (if so) what it means? If not normal, pointers to anything that might help figure out whether it's malware or not would be appreciated. -Ed

Hey there memurphyiii,

Thanks for reaching out. What you're seeing is asking you to enter the Mac's admin username and password (what's used to login to this profile) in order to make changes to the storage. If you are not the admin, you'll need their username and password in order to make any changes to the internal storage. If you are, then please try entering in your (login) username and password then click OK.

Continue with the guidance to learn more about what to do if you're asked for the admin name and password: If you’re asked for an administrator name and password on Mac - Apple Support

All the best.
