How to Upgrade iPhone 12 to iPhone 15 Pro?

I'm looking to upgrade my phone, watched the release of the 15 and figured I'd pre order one on Friday. Why do I have to select the carriers listed? I'm using straight talk, and they support eSIM. There's not a connect later or connect your own carrier option like there was on the iPhone13 & below. How do I go about ordering one or do I have to drive an hour to go to an apple store?

You only need to select a carrier if you choose a Financed payment option. In which case a carrier is required.

If you choose the one time payment then there should be a connect a carrier later option below the other carriers.
