I cannot get my stereo pair of HomePod Minis to respond correctly to volume when being used as audio output for AppleTV; only one HPM responds, and the other is fixed to initial volume, needing to be controlled manually instead of by remote.
This problem does not exist when listening to music outside of AppleTV.
I have reset both HomePods. Problem persists.

I fixed the problem. I needed to have my Pods, AppleTV, and iPhone all on the same WiFi network. I have a 5G and a 2.5G. The smart lights cannot be on 5G, so we will see if this causes a problem down the road.
NOTE: I have posted an updated post to this thread—the problem DOES exist when only streaming Apple Music, regardless of being used as output for AppleTV or not.
