New phone didn’t carry over my old apps and screen savers

So I just got a new phone and I thought when I signed into my Apple ID account what my old phone looked like would transfer over to my new phone like how the Home Screen was set up and what apps I had. But instead it’s set up how it looked three years ago and idk why

On top of simply signing in with your Apple ID, you also need to set up the new device by restoring from the most recent backup, preferably a backup that you secured just before setting up the new iPhone.

If you are going to perform a factory reset on the new iPhone so you can set it up again and restore it from a backup, we recommend that you update the new iPhone before you do the reset.

Also, if you still have access to your old device, please secure a backup.

When you're ready, you can reset the new iPhone to factory settings, then restore it from your most recent backup.
