Notes Disappeared from iPhone but still exist in Yahoo Email

I save my iPhone notes under my Yahoo Email in the notes app. This morning, almost all of my notes disappeared from my iPhone.

When I log into my Yahoo Email, I can still see all of my notes. I have sync enabled, so I don’t know why they are not showing up. I was wondering if I could disconnect my email from my iPhone and reconnect/resync, but I don’t want to lose all of my notes in the process. Please let me know how to proceed.

how to stop iphone notes getting sent to gmail WITHOUT deleting them from phone One day noticed there were MILLIONS of copies of notes made on my iPhone (sometimes many copies of one note, what joy) filling up my various gmails. Found out here (thank you apple support community) that if i go into settings>mail>accounts on my iphone and toggle the 'notes' button to 'off' in each of those accounts, it will stop sending copies to my gmail, huzzah! Also that terrifying warning comes up saying all those notes will be deleted from my phone. Gack. If i Do toggle the 'notes' switch in mail accounts to 'off', will all those gmail notes disappear from my phone? If so, wtf?! Apple can you please change this?! it is a truly horrible feature.

Notes disappeared after updating to iOS 18.1.1 many (not all) of my current notes have disappeared from my gmail notes account after this update was installed. I can only see old notes pre 2021. I have tried re-logging in using my iCloud email address with no success. How can I access mt notes from 2024?
