That is perfectly normal.

Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone.

This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

Hello 👋

Although battery drain on iPhones can be annoying, there is an easy fix. However, it is true that lithium-ion batteries are designed to degrade over time, you can take a variety of steps to halt short-term battery drain (meaning, you can get a full day out of the battery)

  1. Make sure you set auto-lock to somewhere around 1-2 minutes
  2. Turn on auto brightness
  3. Turn on optimized battery charging and clean energy charging (if available)
  4. Turn off most system services (you can find a guide on which ones you need)

hope this helps
