Connecting Magic Mouse
My magic mouse is fully charged and turned on but in the Bluetooth panel it says "Connection rejected".
I've used this mouse for years without a problem. All of a sudden it stopped working. Why?
iMac 27″, macOS 12.6

Try removing it then re-adding it.
Have you tried plugging the Magic Mouse into the Mac, and leaving it plugged in a minute, to see if the computer and mouse will automatically pair again?
Someone posting in another thread said that fixed things for them when they ran into a similar problem.

If and Only if this mouse that been Used and Associated with another Apple Device
You will have to dis-associate the Mouse from the Other Device
Then, Pair the mouse to this device

If you tried the mouse on a different Mac at an Apple Store and it didn't work on any computer then it's certainly possible the mouse has failed.
Used to have an Apple Mouse ( Replaceable Battery type ) from an iMac 2012 ( ancient ) that worked on several different Apple Computer.
It Died in 2023 and just would not work ever again.
Like anything man made - things do just cease to work and usual without warning
Tried that; didn't work.
