With iPad, How to create a line break in a pasted text?

Tap the text to place the insertion point where you want the break to occur.

Tap return to insert the break.

Tap into the text at the point where you want the line break. The cursor should be flashing there and a format bar will appear with Select | Select All | Format | Comment | Insert | Copy Style.

Tap 'Insert' in that bar, then tap 'Line Break' in the menu that appears.
