Macbook pro 2016 projecting for only a few seconds
as it says in the title, my 2016 macbook pro, routed through a monoprice 4 input HDMI switcher into my projector (Panasonic PT-F300) projects for a few seconds only before blacking out the screen, this black screen is generated by macos as the projector is picking it up as a signal, just even in mirroring mode it just blanks the screen after 5 to 15 seconds and wont try to display no matter what resolution and refresh rate I set it to, I am aware this is an issue with how MacOS handles the 4 input switcher as without it in the signal chain the mac plays just fine with the projector, however I would optimally like to use the switcher as I have other devices I would like to project from. Why is MacOS so terribly built that a 4 input switcher breaks its whole way of dealing with display out, i feel like this is a sore failure on apples part, and i face issues like this constantly with projecting and putting literally anything in the signal chain.
is there any fix for this besides "select a new resolution" because that seems to be all your 'techs' can handle telling people to do
