You may be a great candidate to upgrade your home's network with a Mesh network. If you are not familiar with Mesh networks they are simple to setup and are a FAR better solution than extenders. There are many many articles that explain Mesh networking however here is one that is pretty easy to read: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7182746?hl=en
I happen to use a Google Mesh network, that I have had for about 3-4 years now and it's always been dead reliable and was extremely easy to setup. You can find them at a variety of locations including your local Best Buy and Costco and many other on-line locations. The Google system I am using is the one for $229 at Costco, like I said it works extremely well and supports about 40 wi-fi devices in my home including:
Macs, PCs, AppleTVs, iPhones, iPads, about 8 Sonos wireless speakers, about 10 smart plugs for controlling things like lights, fountains, timers etc....
