ios16.6.1 update issues

I have an Iphone 13. It gets stuck where it says "verifying update." I've looked for solutions online. Tried deleting it in Settings, then going back to settings to look up in Apps to try it again from there. Nothing seems to work. One suggestion was to plug it into my Macbook Pro computer and do it that way? Does anybody know why this is happening? Its never had a problem updating before. I know how to get out of it by pressing the volume up button briefly, then volume down button briefly, then holding the right side button and not letting go until the Apple appears. This gets me out of the endless loop but the phone does not get updated. It is plugged in and next to my Macbook Pro. I also waited 15 minutes during the initial phase of the update while the blue bar slowly moved all the way to the right. It said installation will start in 8 seconds, then the "Verifying Update" screen appears with the clockwise rotating circle of bars next to it. This is where I experience the glitch. I suppose I can just leave it in this mode and check back in a while but I have a feeling it will not end and I will have the "unable to update, will try later" message again. Thanks for listening..

Can you post a screenshot of the whole screen, it could reveal why you aren't able to update.

Make sure you:

• Are using a WiFi connection (not a hotspot).

• You have an active cell signal (You need both WiFi and cellular service to perform the upgrade).

• Are not using a VPN connection.

• Have your battery charged at least 50%. Better yet, keep it plugged in during the update.

• Do not have power save mode turned on.

• Do not have a beta version installed.

• You have at least 10 gigs of storage available.
