After the latest update my message arrow is now green. I know I’m messaging ppl with iPhone cuz they are my children and on my mobile plan . Also, having trouble with FaceTime after this latest update.

Hi mwferguson13,
This indicates that either you or the people you're sending messages to aren't using iMessage. To set this up, you'll need to follow the steps outlined in Set up Messages on iPhone - Apple Support
If you're experiencing a similar issue with FaceTime, that will need to be set up as well: Set up FaceTime on iPhone - Apple Support
Cheers.
As i previously stated, I know for a fact that the other users are using iMessage as they are on my plan and are my family members. And, looking at their iPhones I can see that they are having the same issue.
Hi mwferguson13,
Next, let's get in touch with support for some additional options.
Cheers.
Try this:
If you have issues with Messages after you set up a new device
If you experience issues like conversations in Messages showing up as separate threads or sent messages appearing as green message bubbles instead of blue message bubbles when you set up a new device, update your settings using the following steps:
If you have issues when you try to receive a FaceTime call after you set up a new device, you can also update your FaceTime settings.
Thank you for all your suggestions but I had already tried all those steps several times prior to writing about my issues. Again, this happened after the latest update and some others I’ve spoken to have the same issue and have tried all the above steps also. I’m guessing this won’t resolve until another genius update fixes all these quirks.
I've updated two iPhones, two iPads, two Apple Watches and a MacBook Pro with the most current software and none of them are having the issues you're experiencing. Waiting for an update to roll out for an issue no one else here as written about isn't a great solution. Sorry. I'd reach out to Apple Support for help, if I were you. If you're in the US, you can call them at 800-MY-APPLE or maybe schedule a visit to your closest Apple Store Genius Bar.
My reply about waiting for another update was just me being sarcastic. If I get around to it I may contact apple support but as long as I can get my messages through not too bothered. Greatest bother was the FaceTime as we use it to keep in touch with far away relatives. Thanks for responding though!
I hope you get it sorted. And Apple should be able to help you find the right solution. Good luck and stay well.
Thank you! Appreciate all the advice and good thoughts!
